Individuals who received NVX-CoV2373 tended to be older, have a disability, and\/or have a prior SARS-CoV-2 infection. Propensity score matching resulted in 107 individuals in each primary series group and 701 and 1417 individuals in the NVX-CoV2373 and BNT162b2 third-dose groups, respectively. The aHR (95% CI) for NVX-CoV2373 compared with BNT162b2 for medically attended COVID-19 in the 180-day risk window was 0.57 (0.31-1.05) for the primary series and 0.68 (0.54-0.84) for the third dose. Results suggest that NVX-CoV2373 may provide more robust protection against medically attended COVID-19 as a third dose, compared with BNT162b2. While the aHR for the primary series also indicated lower risk with NVX-CoV2373, this difference was not statistically significant.\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelancet.com\/journals\/laninf\/article\/PIIS1473-3099(25)00482-7\/fulltext?dgcid=raven_jbs_aip_email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Antiviral Efficacy of Oral Ensitrelvir versus Oral Ritonavir-boosted Nirmatrelvir in COVID-19 (PLATCOV): An Open-label, Phase 2, Randomised, Controlled, Adaptive Trial<\/a><br \/>\nLow-risk adult outpatients aged 18-60 years with early symptomatic COVID-19 (&lt;4 days of symptoms) were recruited from hospital acute respiratory infection clinics in Thailand and Laos. Patients were randomly assigned in blocks (block sizes depended on the number of interventions available) to one of eight treatment groups, including oral ensitrelvir and oral ritonavir-boosted nirmatrelvir at standard doses, both given for 5 days, and no study drug. 604 of 903 patients enrolled were concurrently assigned to the three treatment groups (ensitrelvir n=202; ritonavir-boosted nirmatrelvir n=207; no study drug n=195). Median estimated SARS-CoV-2 clearance half-lives were 5\u00b79 h (IQR 4\u00b70-8\u00b76) with ensitrelvir, 5\u00b72 h (3\u00b78-6\u00b76) with nirmatrelvir, and 11\u00b76 h (8\u00b71-14\u00b75) with no study drug. Viral clearance following ensitrelvir was 82% faster than no study drug and 16% slower (5-25) than ritonavir-boosted nirmatrelvir. Viral rebound occurred in 15 (7%) of 207 patients in the nirmatrelvir group and 10 (5%) of 202 in the ensitrelvir group (p=0\u00b745).\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/ofid\/advance-article\/doi\/10.1093\/ofid\/ofaf634\/8277127?utm_source=advanceaccess&amp;utm_campaign=ofid&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;login=false\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Longitudinal Patient-reported Outcome Trajectories in Long COVID: Findings from the STOP-PASC Clinical Trial<\/a><br \/>\nParticipants were followed for 15 weeks with serial symptom assessments. Trajectory groups were identified using Bayesian Information Criteria and characterized using descriptive statistics and absolute standardized differences. They report some success: Two groups emerged for Patient Global Impression of Severity (PGIS) (improving n=17, persistent\/severe n=136) and Patient Global Impression of Change (PGIC) (improving n=130; worsening n=22). PROMIS-Physical Function modeling identified four groups (improving, normal\/mild, moderate, and severe), fatigue core symptom modeling identified three (improving; moderate; severe). Worsening groups had higher proportions of NMV\/r-treated participants and greater prevalence of cardiovascular symptoms and low-dose naltrexone use. Improving groups had shorter time since infection and higher baseline physical function. No subgroup showed a clear benefit from NMV\/r. These findings emphasize the need for validated, Long COVID-specific PRO instruments and targeted therapeutic trials tailored to Long COVID subtypes.\n\t<h3>\n\t\t\t\tSituation
