We are expanding our commitment to providing free and accessible medical resources with a brand new program, Tropical Medicine Curriculum<\/a>. Found under the ‘Resources’ tab of our website, the course was developed by Parasites Without Borders in conjunction with a team of fellows and medical educators at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and was revised by a panel of expert clinicians and researchers from all around the world.<\/p>\n

“It’s truly inspiring, seeing the next generation of clinicians continue our efforts to provide high-quality medical resources to those who need them,” explained Daniel Griffin, MD, PhD, President of Parasites Without Borders. “Education is critical to battling the devastating effects of tropical diseases, but making it accessible to all clinicians, public health workers and all those on the frontlines is even more important.”<\/p>\n

The Tropical Medicine Curriculum addresses a variety of parasitic and tropical diseases. The series is a free, self-study educational tool that is designed to work for new learners and scholars. It will be released with over 30 lessons, but it is an evolving work, with additional sessions planned.<\/p>\n

“The Tropical Medicine Curriculum by Parasites Without Borders provides foundational knowledge, as well as a general framework in parasitic and other tropical diseases,” says Jorge Cardenas Alvarez, MD, who was an integral part of creating this new resource.<\/p>\n\t
