Children diagnosed after the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic began showed evidence of immune response to the virus, were older, had a higher rate of cardiac involvement, and features of MAS. The SARS-CoV-2 epidemic was associated with high incidence of a severe form of Kawasaki disease. A similar outbreak of Kawasaki-like disease is expected in countries involved in the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic.<\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nejm.org\/doi\/full\/10.1056\/NEJMp2011027?query=featured_coronavirus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Preventing a Parallel Pandemic \u2014 A National Strategy to Protect Clinicians\u2019 Well-Being<\/strong><\/a><br>\n<em>Just as the US rallied to care for September 11 first responders who suffered long-term health effects, authors argue we must take responsibility for the well-being of clinician first responders to Covid-19 \u2014 now and in the long run. Authors are calling for several immediate actions to lay the groundwork for a clear and accountable national strategy to safeguard the health and well-being of our clinician workforce.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thelancet.com\/retrieve\/pii\/S0140673620310424\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Triple combination of interferon beta-1b, lopinavir\u2013ritonavir, and ribavirin in the treatment of patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19: an open-label, randomised, phase 2 trial<\/strong><\/a><br>\n<em>Early triple antiviral therapy was safe and superior to lopinavir\u2013ritonavir alone in alleviating symptoms and shortening the duration of viral shedding and hospital stay in patients with mild to moderate COVID-19.
