Increasing Access for Infectious Disease Puscast

We are excited to announce that the nearly one hundred episodes of Infectious Disease Puscast are now available on the Parasites Without Borders website. Found under the ‘Resources’ tab, this popular podcast produced by MicrobeTV and featuring Dr. Daniel Griffin (MD, Ph.D. CTropMed CTH) and Dr. Sara Dong (Ph.D.), aims to be a trusted and accessible tool to help busy clinicians, researchers, students and citizen scientists keep up-to-date on the latest infectious disease literature. It is also a reboot of a popular podcast by Infectious Disease Specialist Mark Crislip called simply PusCast.

“As a practicing clinician, I know that in the modern world, time is precious and limited. It can be quite cumbersome to sort through a continuous stream of new information,” explained Daniel Griffin, MD, PhD, President of Parasites Without Borders. “We wanted to create a reliable and informative platform where we take all of that new information and make it more digestible, for both the professional and the layperson.”

Infectious Disease Puscast is co-hosted by Dr. Griffin and Sara Winn Dong, MD, and is released bi-monthly. In each episode, the doctors discuss the newest and most relevant findings in the field of infectious diseases. The Parasites Without Borders website now houses each episode’s video link and an accompanying transcription available for download. You can find those here.
