“This Week in Virology (TWiV)” Podcast Hits 800th Episode

This Week in Virology (TWiV), a podcast about viruses, has released its 800th episode. Started in September 2008 by two science professors at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), Vincent R. Racaniello, PhD and Dickson D. Despommier, PhD, the podcast has since garnered a cult following amongst physicians, scientists, medical students, medical workers, and everyday folks.

Throughout March and April, all donations made to Parasites Without Borders will be matched by PWB and donated to the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH). These donations will help support our shared commitment to reducing the worldwide burden of tropical diseases and improving global health, equity, and social justice.

Throughout the months of December & January, all donations made to Parasites Without Borders will be matched and DOUBLED by PWB with a pledge up to $40,000 with a minimum donation of $10,000 and donated to Peace Corps’ Health and HIV/AIDS Fund, a fund that helps combat global health issues such as poor nutrition, the spread of infectious diseases, and the devastating social and economic impact of HIV/AIDS.
