Donate to Floating Doctors

Throughout August, September and October, all donations made to Parasites Without Borders will be matched by PWB and donated to Floating Doctors. PWB pledges a minimum donation of $10,000 and will match all of your donations, for a total gift to Floating Doctors of up to $40,000. These donations will help support our shared commitment to reduce the present and future burden of disease in the developing world, and to promote improvements in healthcare delivery worldwide.

Donate to Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC)

Throughout May, June and July, donations made to Parasites Without Borders (PWB) will be matched by the organization and donated to the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC). The funds will go toward helping to reopen the nonprofit’s Project Bududa, Uganda site.

Donate to American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH)

Throughout February, March and April, donations made to Parasites Without Borders (PWB) will be matched by the organization and donated to the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) with a minimum pledged donation of $20,000 and a total gift of up to $40,000 for ASTMH. A portion of these funds will go to providing Travel Awards for three qualified female students, early-career investigators or scientists actively working in the tropical medicine field from low- and middle-income countries to attend the ASTMH 2022 Annual Meeting.

Donate to MicrobeTV

Throughout November, December, and January, all donations made to Parasites Without Borders will be matched by PWB and donated to MicrobeTV. PWB pledges a minimum donation of $10,000 and will match all your donations, for a total gift to MicrobeTV of up to $40,000. These donations will help support our shared commitment to disseminating comprehensive, advanced education resources of basic and clinical information dealing with all aspects of global health, including Virology, Parasitology, Immunology, Neuroscience, Evolution, Microbiology, and more.

“This Week in Virology (TWiV)” Podcast Hits 800th Episode

This Week in Virology (TWiV), a podcast about viruses, has released its 800th episode. Started in September 2008 by two science professors at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), Vincent R. Racaniello, PhD and Dickson D. Despommier, PhD, the podcast has since garnered a cult following amongst physicians, scientists, medical students, medical workers, and everyday folks.
